Ouchi (ヲウチ) is Japanese for “home” or “house”.
Our intention for this gallery is to simulate a household so we can achieve a warm and comfy place for visitors to feel at home.
Art should be more than a business commodity. It should transform into our daily lives, inspiring us with new thoughts and passions each day. The best art teaches that there are no limits to individual pursuits; that our own possibilities are infinite.
Hi guys! I am Mandy and I’ve been with Ouchi Gallery since February 2013. I am a Chinese American but learning Spanish & Japanese (taught by Arisa) at the moment. Also, I am a graphic designer currently studying at The NYC College of Tech. But, I love to do fine arts as a hobby! That’s why I like to work at this gallery because I get to meet so many different artists from Japan & NY who inspire me.
Due to some scheduling conflicts, Nolan will not be able to be at the opening reception for Ma jolie Emiko’s “Let’s enjoy new change.” Eventhough this is sad news, there is a silver lining to this cloud! A nice familiar face, Arisa, will be there to greet you with a smiling face! Be sure to mention to her about the tumblr promotion to get your special gift!
Be sure to come to Ma jolie Emiko’s “Let’s enjoy new change” and find Nolan Wilds, who was the STAFF SPOTLIGHT in the last post, and get a special gift from the Ouchi Gallery. There is a catch though, it is only availible to the first 15 people. Follow this tumblr page to get more updates!
